Residential Inspection
A Residential Home Inspection is based on the North Carolina Standards of Practice (SOP) as a written evaluation, based on observation or noninvasive testing, of two or more of the residential home components annotated under 'What We Inspect'.
Inspection types include:
- Pre-Sale
- Maintenance
- 11-Month Warranty
- Pre-Purchase
- Partial
- Detached Buildings
Wood Destroying Insect (WDI) Inspection
The North Carolina Wood Destroying Insect Information Report (WDIR-100), adopted by the Structural Pest Control Committee, is used for reporting the presence or absence of wood-destroying insects (WDI) and their evidence in structures for sale. To issue this report an individual must be licensed by the North Carolina Department of Agriculture & Consumer Services.
Septic Inspection
Septic system inspections constitute a snapshot evaluation in time of the system(s) and do not guarantee future performance of the system(s) due to numerous factors.
Septic systems are installed when public sewer waste systems are not readily available. Homeowners should be educated on the proper use, operation, and maintenance of a septic system. The cost savings of not paying a monthly sewer bill should be reallocated to regular inspections and maintenance.
Radon Testing
Radon testing is recommended by the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). The EPA recommends checking your area's Radon potential via the Map of Radon Zones. Mitigation is recommended if your home Radon levels are 4 picocuries per liter (pCi/L) or higher.
Refer to the EPA Home Buyer's and Seller's Guide to Radon for more information.
Water Quality Testing
Residential Water Testing is an informational residential water quality report based on FHA & VA minimum standards for determining water quality. Water samples will be compared to national standards defined within the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Secondary Drinking Water Regulations and North Carolina State regulatory compliance.
Drone Services
We love technology! Drone inspection services reimagine home inspections, offering safer, more efficient, and more accurate inspections. Aerial inspections provide greater detail and reach areas sometimes impossible to attain with traditional inspection methods and are included with a home inspection. Drone services include independent drone inspections, high-altitude photos, video, and mapping.
